Future Splendor: Celebrating A New Renaissance is an Afrofuturist, speculative fiction collection of short stories and poetry honoring the 2020s and beyond. Echoing the 1920s Harlem Renaissance, Future Splendor features emerging and award-winning writers who share their visions of the future filled with liberation, joy, empowerment, and the turbulent process to get there. This collection takes you through the surreal present, the ambitious future, and awe-inspiring outer space through the perspectives of Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) voices. The works include journeys to defeat gentrifying witches, discovery of the self and the memories we hold, our roots and the impulses that cast us into the future.
